Chapel of Our Lady

The charming chapel, built in 1497, is located directly at the end of the wooden bridge that connected Rapperswil with Hurden as part of the historic Way of St. James from 1358 to 1878. The chapel is open and invites contemplation.

Unfortunately, due to pressure from local residents, the Way of St. James was relocated to the land side of Hurden, so that pilgrims are led past this historic site.

Starting point:
After the end of the Rapperswil footbridge, you'll come across information boards about the Frauenwinkel nature reserve. There, leave the signposted Way of St. James to the left toward the lake and follow a sign to the Rössli restaurant.
