Church window nature trail/Sentier du Vitrail
The Swiss Museum of Church Window and Glass is well known in Romont.
This important pilgrimage town also has a church window trail, the Sentier du Vitrail. You'll encounter it when you reach the foot of the town hill on the Way of St. James. The trail leads to various churches around Romont. The walking time is estimated at 4.5 hours. The trail is ideal for a rest day dedicated to the topic of church windows and glass art.
This route is also very suitable for an “after-work round” for cycling pilgrims.
Marguerite Bays
Also at the foot of the town hill, you'll find the marker for a themed trail dedicated to Marguerite Bay. Marguerite was born in 1815 and was a seamstress. She chose not to enter a religious order, but to live a secular and unmarried life, serving God and her fellow human beings in this way. She was beatified by Pope John Paul II in 1995.
The trail is currently (February 2008) unfinished and not yet accessible online. A leaflet is available at the information office.
