Thoughts on the way from Lausanne to Allaman

From the diary of the pilgrim James

Fantastic weather, fresh grapes, a baguette, and water accompany the three of us on our pilgrimage from Lausanne to Rolle. Before us lies the imposing Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in Europe. My doubts seem almost ridiculously small, given the fact that there are mountaineers who have conquered far higher peaks than the one before me. And I don't even need to climb this four-thousand-meter peak to reach my destination. We can't forget St. Sulpice, the former Cluniac priory. It's worth a visit – both inside and out.

For reflection on the way

"I enjoy the silence in the cathedral in Lausanne and meditate on the rose window 'La Rose'. It is a declaration of faith that conquers the evil of creation and allows the good vision of the world and the unshakable hope for good to shine forth."

May you be able to perceive the unfathomable beauties of nature that bloom along your path every day with a heart full of joy and deep gratitude. Let yourself fall into a deeper reality that allows you to sense how you are connected to creation and the cosmos. Let yourself fall into an uncertain future that allows you to recognize how you are held in the primal source of all life.
