The Wrightsock Stride (with scallop shell) is a medium-weight, highly breathable sock. The Wrightsock Stride has a slightly shorter cuff (approx. 8 cm) than the Wrightsock Escape (approx. 11.5–20 cm, depending on size).

Long hikes often cause blisters on the feet due to friction, heat, and sweat. The inner and outer layers of the Wrightsock Stride are connected at three points and can move in opposite directions. This prevents the skin of the foot from rubbing against the sock; instead, it is these two layers that rub against each other.

When it's cool, the Stride provides pleasant protection from drafts. It also keeps annoying insects away. A knitted section at the midfoot stabilizes the foot and offers secure support, even during lateral movements. The inner layer is white, undyed, and therefore skin-friendly . The Dri-Wright and high-tech fibers of the inner and outer layers keep the foot dry and protect against blisters.
